I am a very keen Photographer and have been for many years, more than I care to remember, and I'm probably more enthusiastic now than ever.
Whenever I go on Holiday or visit somewhere new a very large part of the enjoyment for me is the Photography, I think unfamiliar surroundings can be a great inspiration.
I love the techniques, the incredible software available to us now such as Photoshop and Picures to Exe for AV Slideshows.
When Digital came along it added a whole new dimension to this great hobby for me,
thankfully its been many years now since I had to carry water and chemicals up into my Darkroom in the Sky as I called it, (The Loft) where admittedly I spent many happy hours producing mediocre B&W prints in a dark smelly chemically laden 8ft by 6ft room, emerging in the early hours with a few good prints and a bin full of soggy rejects I would have to resist the urge to wake my sleeping beauty to show her the pictures I was pleased with in case she suggested that I file them in the soggy rejects bin with the others! She can be very unappreciative of my photographic efforts at 3 in the morning!
Now I can sit comfortably at my desk in my study with a cup of coffee and produce mediocre results in a fraction of the time and Sally can be unappreciative of my photographic skills at a much more reasonable hour.
Another huge advantage to my mind is you can view the results so quickly and learn from your mistakes, I've learned a lot as I make a lot of mistakes but then the only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.
If other's get some enjoyment from my efforts then that's a real bonus!
That's enough About Me!
Bob
